Tehran: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran and discussed Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and avenues for enhanced cooperation.

During the meeting, Minister Naqvi briefed the Iranian President on the situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. President Pezeshkian offered Iran's brotherly role in helping to reduce tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and reaffirmed Tehran's commitment to promoting regional peace.

Minister Naqvi conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's message of goodwill to the Iranian President and reaffirmed Pakistan's desire to deepen bilateral engagement. He stated that Iran and Pakistan are partners in regional peace and stability.

President Pezeshkian expressed satisfaction over the current trajectory of bilateral relations, saying that Iran attaches special importance to its relations with Pakistan and values the brotherly country's steadfast cooperation. He added that both nations possess immense potential to expand mutual collaboration across various sectors.
