Islamabad: International Day of Peaceful Coexistence was observed Wednesday.

The day aims to highlight the importance of living together in peace and harmony and respecting differences in culture, values, beliefs and ways of life.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that lasting peace in the world is possible only through mutual respect and understanding.

In his message on the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence observed on Wednesday , he emphasized promoting harmony, unity and mutual respect among nations and humanity.

International Data Protection Day was also observed Wednesday.

The purpose of this day is to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices.
