Islamabad: Investment environment is improving and investor confidence is gaining strength in Pakistan due to the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council.

In the first eight months of current fiscal year, profits and dividends for foreign investors reached 1.73 billion dollars which is 10.52 percent higher than the last year.

According to Finance Minister's Advisor, Khurram Schehzad, an independent survey indicates that confidence of foreign investors operating in Pakistan has increased.

He mentioned that around sixty percent of investors considered Pakistan a suitable place for investment two years ago and this figure has now increased to seventy five percent.
