New york: Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad has said Iran has right to self defence under UN charter.

He said this while addressing the United Nations Security Council.

He held Israeli aggression is not acceptable. Pakistan condemns Israel illegal attack on Iran. Israeli attack is defiance of sovereignty of Iran and regional security.

Israel's actions in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen reflect a continuing pattern of unilateral militarism, he added.

He further said Israeli attacks are grave threat for peace, security and stability. Persistent violations of sovereignty by Israel are becoming routine.

Pakistan, as an immediate neighbor of Iran, is therefore, seriously concerned.

He reaffirmed Pakistan's support for the resolution of the Iran nuclear issue through peaceful means.

He underlined Israel is violating global laws. Israel attacked Iran during peace talks. International community should take notice of Israeli aggression.
