Islamabad: The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan has expressed deep appreciation for the goodwill message conveyed by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, as the flight of the Honorable President passed through Iranian airspace.

In an official statement, the Ambassador said it was an immense honor for the Islamic Republic of Iran to warmly welcome the President of Pakistan's flight and described the gesture as a clear reflection of the deep-rooted bonds of mutual respect, solidarity, and enduring friendship and fraternity between Iran and Pakistan.

The statement further reaffirmed Iran's firm commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and elevating relations between the two neighboring countries to new and higher levels.
