Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has termed the truce and agreement between Iran and the United States as a landmark victory for Iran, stating that this development proves no global superpower can impose its agenda on a nation that stands resilient and unified.

In a video message issued from Mansoorah and a statement shared on social media, the JI chief urged the Government to pass on international economic relief to the public by immediately slashing petrol prices, initiating free trade with Iran, and ensuring the completion of the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman noted that the signing of the agreement, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the normalization of regional conditions signal a clear message to the world that a united nation can withstand the greatest of challenges. He remarked that the spirit of the Iranian leadership and its people has proven that when a government and its nation stand on the same page with unwavering resolve, patience, and steadfastness, even the biggest global powers are forced to change their decisions. He pointed out that while the US and Israel had made grand claims of dismantling Iran's political system, nuclear program, missile capabilities, and military power, the conflict ended under entirely different dynamics, narrowing down effectively to the Strait of Hormuz. He termed the final outcome a major strategic triumph for Iran and extended his congratulations to the Iranian leadership and public, praising how the nation transformed its profound losses and hardships into a source of national strength.

The JI Emir emphasized that Pakistan must draw critical lessons from these regional developments.

While acknowledging Pakistan's positive role in the mediation process, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stressed that external diplomatic gains cannot be fully leveraged without establishing internal national solidarity and harmony. To achieve this, he urged the government to eliminate the root causes of public frustration, respect the people's right to self-governance, and foster inclusivity by bringing all linguistic and regional communities, including Kashmiris, Balochis, Sindhis, Muhajirs, Pashtuns, and Punjabis, onto a single national platform.

With shifting global dynamics, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman demanded immediate, practical steps to rescue national economy and resolve its crippling energy crisis. He stated that the government must immediately pass the benefits of declining global oil prices to the masses, noting that with Ex-Refinery prices potentially dropping to approximately 200 rupees per liter, a significant reduction in domestic petroleum prices is fully viable. He stressed that the government needs to reconsider oppressive measures like the Petroleum Levy, adding that lowering electricity and gas tariffs could substantially revive the national economy within a single year. Furthermore, he emphasized that Pakistan must immediately initiate free trade with Iran and fast-track the stalled Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline project to decisively curb the country's energy crisis. He also proposed expanding the Pak-Saudi defense agreement to include Iran and Turkey, stating that such an alliance would send a powerful message of unity and significantly mitigate the risk of future conflicts in the Gulf.

Concluding his statement, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman paid rich tributes to the Iranian public, leadership, and resistance forces, asserting that Pakistan must now adopt a forward-looking foreign policy rooted in regional peace, mutual cooperation, and absolute sovereignty.
