Ishaq Dar arrives in Dhaka; he was received by Bangladeshi FS Ambassador Asad Alam Siam

Dhaka: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Dhaka on an official visit at the invitation of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He was received at the airport by Ambassador Asad Alam Siam, Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh, along side Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, and other senior Bangladeshi officials.

According to the statement issued by FO Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, in Dhaka, during the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister will hold important meetings with the Bangladeshi leadership, including Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Md. Touhid Hossain, and Adviser for Commerce SK Bashir Uddin. Discussions will encompass the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation including regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The visit is a significant milestone in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations as a Pakistani Foreign Minister is visiting Bangladesh after a gap of around 13 years.
