Islamabad: The Deputy Prime Minister/ Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting at FMO regarding outsourcing of airports and development of aviation industry, in presence of Ministers of Aviation and Finance, and senior Officials of Aviation Ministry.The DPM/ FM reviewed the progress made by the Aviation Ministry and directed that all out efforts be made to make aviation as a profitable industry and extend quality services to the travellers.Meanwhile, he chaired the meeting of ECNEC. The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Provincial Ministers and Federal Secretaries attended the meeting.The committee considered and approved seven development projects costing around Rs 217 billion; ?approved the increase in scope of irrigation component of Sindh Emergency Flood Rehabilitation Project; approved the revision of scope for CAREC Corridor road infrastructure project falling in Sindh an d KP provinces; ?approved the revised scope of Karachi Water Supply and Severage Improvement Project at cost of Rs 25.4 billion and ?approved the World Bank funded project GRADES with aim to improve attendance and learning outcomes in schools of Punjab.
