Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Committee on Recognition of Medical, Dentistry and Alternative Medicine Educational Institutions.

The Committee reviewed and scrutinized cases relating to the recognition of medical, dentistry and alternative medicine educational institutions under the relevant laws.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of quality assurance and adherence to international standards.

The Committee further reiterated that Pakistani students seeking medical education abroad must follow the process for prior registration laid down by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMandDC) to avoid any issues in the future.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for National Health Services and Regulations, Minister for Law and Justice, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Health, Secretary Education, and senior officials from relevant Ministries and departments.
