Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Privatisation.
The Privatisation Commission and Ministry of Privatisation gave a detailed briefing to the committee on privatisation process in Pakistan.
The Committee reviewed the entire process taken extensively by the Privitization Commission, pored over the recommendations, and stressed the need to strictly follow policies, laws and procedures laid down by the government and employ best international practices of Privitization.
Ishaq Dar further directed the concerned officials to execute all transactions of Privitization as per law and encourage and extend level-playing field to all participants in this process.
The Meeting was attended by Ministers of Finance, Power and Commerce; Adviors to the PM on Privatisation, Industry and Production; SAPMs on Finance and Tariq Bajwa. The Federal Secretaries of Cabinet, Privitization, Planning, Commerce, Defence, Law, Power and Privitization Commission were also present during the meeting.
