Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a committee meeting to address issues raised by the Pakistan Association of Private Medical and Dental Institutions (PAMI).

Ishaq Dar emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring quality medical and dental education, promoting fair and transparent tuition fees, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and preparing competent healthcare professionals to meet national health needs and future challenges.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Health, Minister of State for Finance, Advisor to the CM Punjab on Health, and representatives from the Ministry of NHSRandC, PMandDC, and other relevant stakeholders, including PAMI.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Committee to deliberate upon gas supply to the fertilizer sector. The committee discussed continuity of existing gas supplies and securitization of future gas for long-term urea production.

Ishaq Dar emphasised ensuring sustainable fertilizer availability for farmers at affordable costs, strengthening the supply chain, stabilizing prices, and supporting crop growth and national food security.

The meeting was attended by Ministers of Power, Petroleum, National Food Security, Economic Affairs, Climate Change; SAPM Tariq Bajwa; Secretaries of Power and Petroleum; FBR Chairman; and other senior officials. Recommendations will be submitted to the Prime Minister.
