Ishaq Dar highlights Pak’s constructive role in promoting regional peace, stability, dialogue, and economic cooperation

Lahore: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar addressed the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Conference in Lahore as Chief Guest.

Ishaq Dar congratulated ICMA Pakistan on completing 75 years of excellence in advancing the accounting and finance profession and contributing to institutional development in Pakistan.

In his address, DPM/FM emphasized that transparency, accountability, and strong financial governance are essential for sustainable economic growth, investor confidence, and resilience. He highlighted the transformative impact of digital technologies on the accounting profession and stressed the need to adapt to evolving global trends.

Underscoring Pakistan's immense economic potential, Ishaq Dar noted that strategic reforms, regional connectivity, fiscal discipline, and institutional strengthening are positioning Pakistan as a strong and sustainable economy. He also highlighted Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace, stability, dialogue, and economic cooperation.

Ishaq Dar further emphasized regional collaboration through SAFA, youth empowerment, and the Government of Pakistan's commitment to reforms that promote efficiency, accountability, sustainable development, and shared prosperity.
