Bishkek: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev ahead of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's meeting with President Sadyr Zhaparov in Bishkek .
The DPM/FM congratulated FM Kulubaev on Kyrgyzstan's successful leadership of the SCO and the effective hosting of the SCO Summit, as well as the inaugural ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games. He appreciated Kyrgyzstan's leadership in advancing the SCO agenda.
The DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, with a focus on trade, investment, energy, connectivity, regional security, and people-to-people exchanges.
FM Kulubaev congratulated Pakistan on assuming the Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State for 2026-27 and expressed confidence that Pakistan would provide effective leadership in advancing the Organisation's agenda. He underscored the importance Kyrgyzstan attaches to its close and friendly relations with Pakistan and expressed readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and agreed to continue close coordination within the SCO and other multilateral fora to advance peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
The DPM/FM was accompanied by Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch.
