Bishkek: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Director of Trkiye's National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

The two sides exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest, including the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement and the inaugural meeting of its Strategic Political and Defence Committee, as well as recent developments in the region.

The DPM/FM underscored the importance of continued coordination and diplomatic engagement for regional peace, security and stability.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar held a pull-aside meeting with Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek.

As Pakistan and Armenia mark the first anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to building on the positive momentum in bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

Earlier Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, to join Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani delegation for the SCO Council of Heads of State Meeting and SCO Plus Summit.

Ishaq Dar travelled to Bishkek alongside Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defence Yasar Gler, who will also participate in the SCO engagements alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Upon arrival, the DPM/FM was received by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Abakirov, Ambassador of Trkiye Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal €š¬…¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“kem, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Ambassador Altamash Wazir Khan and Director General Hasan Ali Zaigham, as well as senior officials of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
