Ishaq Dar participates in SCO CFM’s Meeting in Cholpon-Ata; reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the ‘Shanghai Spirit’

Bishkek: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar participated in the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers' Meeting in the beautiful city of Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic. He thanked the Kyrgyz leadership and Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev for their warm hospitality and excellent arrangements in hosting the SCO CFM.

Ishaq Dar extended felicitations on the SCO's 25th anniversary and highlighted the Organization's important work for regional peace, security, prosperity, and sustainable development. He reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the 'Shanghai Spirit' and to advancing cooperation, connectivity, and shared growth among SCO Member States.

Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan's diplomatic efforts for regional peace, including the Islamabad Talks and the subsequent Islamabad MoU, which reflected Pakistan's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy. He thanked his counterparts for their recognition and appreciation of Pakistan's sincere efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.

DPM/FM conveyed Pakistan's readiness to assume the Chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of State (CHS) in September 2026 and welcomed all SCO Member States to Pakistan for the CHS Summit in 2027.
