Ishaq Dar participates in the 4th Meeting of R-4 Foreign Ministers in Cairo


Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar participated in the 4th Meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers (of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Trkiye, Egypt) in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday.



The Ministers reviewed progress on the Islamabad MoU, exchanged views on key regional and global developments, and reaffirmed their commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and collective efforts for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.



Discussions also focused on strengthening coordination and advancing practical cooperation within the R-4 framework to address shared challenges and opportunities.



On the sidelines, DPM/FM Ishaq Dar earlier called on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, where besides bilateral matters, discussions were held on regional developments and cooperation under the R-4 platform.



Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt are strengthening partnerships, advancing diplomacy, and building consensus for a more peaceful and connected region.



The R-4 Ministerial meeting commenced in Cairo, Egypt, in a restricted format where the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan, and Trkiye Hakan Fidan, discussed regional developments, implementation of the Islamabad MoU, and priority areas of cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and regional ownership of shared challenges.
