New york: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The GCC Secretary General appreciated Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy, and acknowledged Pakistan's close partnership with the GCC and its member states.

Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-GCC relations and cooperation.

The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, security, and other areas of mutual interest, and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
