Ishaq Dar receives UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan Mohamed Yahya for a farewell call

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, Mohamed Yahya for a farewell call on Wednesday.

Ishaq Dar appreciated Mohamed Yahya's contributions to strengthening Pakistan-UN cooperation and acknowledged the work of the UN Country Team under his leadership. He congratulated Mohamed Yahya on his appointment as Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Mohamed Yahya thanked DPM/FM and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support during his tenure in Pakistan and expressed his desire to continue working closely with Pakistan in his new role.
