Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has congratulated Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the consensus election of Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed of Mauritania as the new OIC Secretary-General.

In a telephonic conversation today, they also exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest, including the forthcoming meeting of the R4 forum. The two sides agreed to remain closely engaged.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Foreign Minister of Trkiye Hakan Fidan.

The two Ministers discussed the evolving regional situation and exchanged views on matters of common interest. They also discussed forthcoming engagements, including the forthcoming meeting of the R4.
