Ishaq Dar says the valiant armed forces of Pakistan delivered a crushing defeat to India in the month of May

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar says Pakistan with its missile and nuclear technology has impregnable defence.

Ishaq Dar was addressing the Azadi Cultural Show at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad. Ishaq Dar said Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam and it will remain on the world map till the Day of Judgment. He said Pakistan has immense potential and resilience. He expressed the confidence that Pakistan will achieve its due place in the comity of nations.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the valiant armed forces of Pakistan delivered a crushing defeat to India in the month of May.

He enumerated the successes achieved by Pakistan over the last one and a half year on the diplomatic front including becoming a member of the UN Security Council and hosting the SCO meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted Pakistan's successes in areas of modern technology and higher education. He added that 250 universities are imparting quality education to the country's youth. He said Pakistan is fast moving on the path of development.

Artists from across Pakistan presented patriotic songs. Besides, cultural performances of students and children were hallmark of the event.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar in his message on the Occasion of Pakistan's 79th Independence Day said 'On the joyous occasion of Independence Day, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Pakistan and our compatriots worldwide. Today, we honor the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the countless sacrifices of the Pakistan Movement's workers, whose unwavering resolve secured our homeland. Guided by unity, faith, and discipline, Pakistan stands tall as a resilient nation of over 250 million people, proud of our shared heritage and collective strength'.

Ishaq Dar said that over the past 78 years, Pakistan has made remarkable strides. From a robust agricultural base to thriving IT exports, from hosting global events to transformative infrastructure projects, our nation has advanced dynamically in science, technology, and economic development. These achievements reflect our commitment to a brighter future and our meaningful contributions to global peace.

'Today, we also celebrate the triumph of Marka-e-Haq, where Pakistan excelled on both military and diplomatic fronts. Our principled and robust response to India's unlawful actions secured a moral and political victory, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to protect our security. Through military preparedness, diplomatic finesse, and national unity, we have demonstrated our resolve to safeguard sovereignty while upholding global peace. The Kashmir cause remains just, the rights of the Kashmiri people inalienable, and Pakistan's support for their struggle unshakable until justice prevails' Ishaq Dar said.

Ishaq Dar said that as we commemorate this day, let us renew our dedication to a stronger, more secure, and prosperous Pakistan. Freedom is not merely inherited, it is earned and preserved through responsibility, discipline, and unity. Our greatest strength lies in the unity that forged our nation and in our collective resolve to uphold democracy, peace, and justice.
