Ishaq Dar, Seyed Abbas Araghchi reaffirm commitment to strong Pakistan-Iran ties

Khankendi: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the 17th ECO Summit in Khankendi, Azerbaijan.

In a statement issued on X, Ishaq Dar said we discussed current status and developments in the region and agreed to keep updating each other about any change which may take place.

Ishaq Dar said that we reaffirmed our commitment to strong Pakistan-Iran ties and agreed to continue to cooperate in the areas of mutual interest.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Bayramov Jeyhun on the sidelines of the 17th ECO Summit in Khankendi.

'I congratulated Azerbaijan's leadership on the successful hosting of the Summit and lauded its proactive role in ECO. We reaffirmed that recent high-level exchanges have further strengthened our bilateral ties and expressed commitment to deepening cooperation across diverse sectors' Ishaq Dar said in a statement issued on X.

Meanwhile Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, on the sidelines of the 17th ECO Summit in Shusha, Azerbaijan on Friday.

'We reaffirmed commitment to strong Pakistan-Turkmenistan ties and reviewed progress on key areas of cooperation, particularly in energy, trade, and regional connectivity. We also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, and our shared resolve to promote regional peace and security. I conveyed heartfelt thanks for Turkmenistan's support in facilitating evacuation of Pakistanis from Iran during the recent regional crisis' Ishaq Dar said in a statement issued on X.
