Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of further deepening and broadening relations with Indonesia.

Ishaq Dar expressed these views while chairing the inter-ministerial meeting regarding Pakistan-Indonesia relations in Islamabad on Friday.

The meeting was held following the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto to Pakistan last month.

The meeting reviewed progress on Pak-Indonesia cooperation in health sector and discussed opportunities to enhance health collaboration between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Health, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, and senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Health Services, and other concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar chaired a session with the Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and senior MoFA officials on upcoming diplomatic engagements and planned visits.

He directed officials to ensure thorough preparation and coordinated follow-ups to advance Pakistan's political and economic interests.

Meanwhile Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting focused on accelerating Pakistan's e-commerce ecosystem, expanding digital trade, and strengthening the IT-enabled services sector.

The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, along with Secretaries for IT, Finance and Commerce, and concerned officials from the relevant ministries.
