Beijing: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar visited the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing.
He toured the renovated public spaces, thoughtfully blending traditional and contemporary design. Interacting with the officers, Ishaq Dar highlighted the Embassy's role in providing consular services, assisting Pakistanis in China, and promoting Pakistan's image and bilateral ties. He appreciated the dedication of Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and the Embassy team.
Meanwhile in a statement issued on X, Ishaq Dar wrote 'Thank you #TeamPakistan at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing and the accompanying delegation for ensuring the successful conclusion of the 7th Strategic Dialogue between Pakistan and China. Your support and commitment throughout the visit are sincerely appreciated. Your efforts continue to contribute to further strengthening the enduring Pakistan-China relations'.
Late on Ishaq Dar departed Beijing, China, after a successful visit from 3-5 January 2026. DPM/FM was the first Foreign Minister to be received by Foreign Minister Wang Yi in 2026.
During the visit, DPM/FM co-chaired with Foreign Minister Wang Yi the 7th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue. He also had meetings with Executive Vice Premier of China, Ding Xuexiang; Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), Liu Haixing; Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Chen Xiaodong; and Vice President of China Minmetals Corporation (MCC), Xu Jiqing.
The visit also saw the official launch of commemorative activities of the 75th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
