Islamabad: A remarkable decline has been witnessed in crime rate in Islamabad due to effective strategy of Islamabad police.All the steps are being taken to cleanse Islamabad from crimes under the directives of IG Islamabad Nasir Rizvi.IG has assured citizens that Islamabad police will take all possible measures to ensure safety of their lives and property besides making federal capital a city of peace.According to the statistics of Islamabad police 269 cases of different crimes have been reported in November 2023 while in contrast ratio of these cases reduced to 200 in November 2024 which shows a clear fall . 1 crime of robbery was reported among different crimes in federal capital. As many as 94 cases of mobile and other things snatching were reported in November 2023 and these reports decreased to 60 in November 2024.3 car theft cases occurred in 2023 while none such case was reported in 2024 . Similarly other transport vehicle snatching in 2023 were 102 while in November 2024 83 cases were regist ered. 12 vehicles were stolen from different areas of federal capital while 5 vehicles were stolen in 2024. Motorcycle theft cases were reported 90 in 2023 while this figure remained 78 in 2024 while no report of theft of other vehicles was made in these two years. Similarly 3 reports of killing were made in 2023 while 1 murder case was reported in 2024. 28 cases of aerial firing were reported in 2023 while only 1 in 2024. similarly 1 incident of kite flying was reported in November 2023 while no such incident was reported in 2024. IG Islamabad said that considerable reduction in the crimes in federal capital is a good omen. With more effective strategy and measures law and order situation will be ensured in Islamabad at every cost.
