Islamabad: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has said that Jamaat-e-Islami is not merely a political party but a religious, ideological, and revolutionary movement whose mission is to establish the supremacy of Allah’s religion on earth and to provide justice, fairness, and peace to humanity in accordance with the eternal principles of the Quran and Sunnah.

Addressing a ceremony organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Mianwali on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, he highlighted Jamaat-e-Islami’s prominent role in the formulation of the Constitution of Pakistan, the Objectives Resolution, and the safeguarding of the belief in the Finality of the Prophethood.

Dr. Tariq Saleem recalled that the movement was founded by Syed Abul A’la Maududi with a sacred and high objective, and to this day Jamaat-e-Islami continues its struggle with sincerity, independence, and the spirit of jihad. He said the party is a global movement striving for the establishment of Allah’s system on earth, aiming to free mankind from the slavery of fellow men and lead them towards the worship of one Allah.

He added that Jamaat-e-Islami has set remarkable examples of service, sacrifice, and integrity in every field-whether in the realm of knowledge and thought, welfare work, or political and social struggle. ‘Our mission is not driven by personal interests but by the pursuit of a higher religious objective,’ he emphasized.

Dr. Tariq Saleem further stated that Jamaat-e-Islami is the party of the poor, serving humanity through its welfare wing, Al-Khidmat Foundation, which has always been at the forefront of relief efforts during floods, earthquakes, and other natural calamities across the country.

He also underscored that in Pakistan’s history, no corruption charges have ever been proven against the 500 members of Jamaat-e-Islami assemblies. On this occasion, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Mianwali Hafiz Javed Iqbal Sajid, Abdul Wahab Khan Niazi, Adnan Khan, Abdullah Faiz, and Owais Aslam Mirza also addressed the gathering.
