LAHORE:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, has announced that a sit-in will be held outside the Lahore Press Club on Friday, October 23, at 4:00 PM as part of the third phase of the protest movement against the petroleum levy. Jamaat-e-Islami workers and citizens will participate in the sit-in.Ziauddin Ansari Advocate said that Jamaat-e-Islami was pursuing a democratic and peaceful struggle for the abolition of the petroleum levy and would not compromise on this demand.

He stated that a signature campaign against the petroleum levy was also underway across Lahore to mobilize the public and strengthen the voice of citizens demanding its abolition.The Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore further said that, following the call of Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the party was also prepared for the Islamabad Super Long March.
