Islamabad: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday approved the appointment of the permanent chief justices of four high courts. The Commission has approved the appointment of Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Justice S.M. Attiqui Shah as Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Muhammad Junaid Gaffar as Chief Justice Sindh High Court and Justice Rozi Khan Barrech as Chief Justice Balochistan High Court.
According to the statement issued by Press Relations Officer of Supreme Court Shahid Hussain Kamboyo, on Tuesday, four meetings of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan were held in the Conference Room of the Supreme Court Building at Islamabad.
First Meeting of JCP (Peshawar High Court) was held at 2:00 PM to consider the appointment of Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
In the meeting, the Commission by majority of its total membership has nominated Justice S.M. Attique Shah, Acting Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court as Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
Second Meeting of JCP (High Court of Balochistan) was held at 2:30 PM to consider the appointment of Chief Justice of the High Court of
Balochistan. In the meeting, the Commission by majority of its total membership has nominated Justice Rozi Khan Barrech, Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Balochistan as Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan.
Third Meeting of JCP (High Court of Sindh) was held at 3:00 PM to consider the appointment of Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh.
In the meeting, the Commission by consensus has nominated Justice
Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Sindh as Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh.
Fourth Meeting of JCP (Islamabad High Court) was held at 3:30 PM to consider the appointment of Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.
In the meeting, the Commission by majority of its total membership has nominated Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court as Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.
