JI delegation offers condolences to plane crash victim family

Karachi: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, led by acting chief Muslim Parvez, visited the residence of Mohammad Toufiq, a resident of Federal B Area Block 15 who was among those killed in the K2 Airways cargo plane crash while travelling from Sharjah to Karachi, to offer condolences to the bereaved family.The delegation included JI district chief Kamran Siraj, Gulberg Town Chairman Nusratullah and other party representatives.Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the tragic crash, Parvez said that Mohammad Toufiq, Arif Siddiqui and the other engineers and crew members who lost their lives were a valuable national asset, adding that their sudden deaths were a great tragedy.He said that the JI shared the grief of the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to be granted the highest place in paradise, while also praying for patience and fortitude for their relatives.Parvez urged the relevant investigative authorities to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry into the cau ses of the crash, saying it was essential to determine the factors behind the accident so that effective measures could be taken to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
