Lahore: The organizational structure and appointments for various departments of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan's upcoming historic public gathering have been finalized.
JI Vice-Emir and Nazim Ijtima-e-Aam Liaqat Baloch has approved the appointments of the department heads. For the event scheduled at Greater Iqbal Park, Minar-e-Pakistan, on November 21-23, a total of 35 departments have been established to manage different administrative aspects.
Ziauddin Ansari will serve as Naib Nazim of the Ijtima, while Samina Saeed will lead the women's camp as Nazima for Women's Affairs. Key appointments include Akhlaq Ahmed as Technical Affairs/Power Supply In-Charge, Nazir Ahmed Janjua as Finance and Central Store Head, Khalid Ahmed Butt as Food Distribution Head, Ahmed Salman Baloch as Women's Camp In-Charge, Khaliq Ahmed Butt as Stage In-Charge, Abdul Rashid Mirza as Pandal In-Charge, Haroon Rashid as Sound System In-Charge, Mazhar Mehmood Siddiqui as Supplies In-Charge, and Shakil Ahmed Turabi as Media (Electronic and Print) Head.
Other appointments include Salman Sheikh as Social and Digital Media Head, Mian Khabeeb Nazir for IT and Communications/CCTV, Syed Khalid Hussain Bukhari as Construction/Restoration Head, Shams ur Rehman Swati for Parking/Transport, and Muhammad Usman Afzal for North Lahore Reception. Dr. Zahid Latif will lead the Medical Camp, Syed Ali Irteza Hasni will handle Hygiene and Sanitation for Western Lahore, Malik Muhammad Ilyas as Water Supply In-Charge (WASA), and Fayyaz Ahmed Faizi for Drinking Water Coordination with Al-Khidmat Foundation. Engineer Ahmad Hammad Rasheed and Dr. Ejaz Nazir will oversee Al-Khidmat Foundation operations, while Chudhary Muhammad Shaukat heads Washrooms, Engineer Satwat Kaleem manages Ablution Areas, Maulana Mukhtar Ahmed, Swati oversees Prayers/Religious Environment, Taj Ali Shah for Security, and Maulana Muhammad Afzal (Jamaat-e-Talaba Arabia) for Decoration and Venue Management.
Liaqat Baloch also appointed Hissan bin Salman as Publicity Head for Central Lahore, Dr. Babar Rasheed for Staff Supplies, Waqas Ahmed Butt for Tent Services/Furniture, Ejaz Tanveer (Business Forum) and Hafiz Mahmood Ahmed for Stalls, Rana Abdul Waheed for VIP Enclosure, Imran Zahoori Ghazi as Central Camp Head, Hasan Bilal Hashmi (Islami Jamaat-e-Talaba) for Volunteers/Venue Guidance, Razi Muhammad Wali, Sami ul Haq Sherpao, Abdul Qudoos Minhas for Foreign Guests/External Affairs, Asif Luqman Qazi for External Affairs, Russel Khan Babar for Nationwide Publicity and Coordination, Engineers Khalid Usman and Mohsin Basheer for VIP Liaison, and Hafiz Saif ur Rehman, Syed Latif ur Rehman Shah, Dr. Inayat ur Rehman, and Ahmed Farhan Aslam Salimi for Mansoorah Camp.
