JI free from sectarianism, personal interests: Ameerul Azeem

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ameerul Azeem has said that the JI is an ideological movement for the establishment of Islamic system free from sectarianism, religious bias, and personal interests.Addressing participants of central training workshop at Mansoorah on Tuesday, Ameerul Azeem criticized other religious and political parties for merely raising slogans about Islamic system and fixing economy while prioritizing personal political gains over the practical implementation of Quran and Sunnah.Ameerul Azeem said Jamaat-e-Islami is a party that upholds obedience, discipline, and the mission of establishing the Islamic system. He highlighted that the JI was founded by Syed Abul A'la Maududi with the aim of establishing Divine rule in Pakistan through a principled, organized, and ideological struggle. He stated that most political parties in Pakistan have turned into dynastic entities, where leadership is inherited. In contrast, Jamaat-e-Islami is neither the personal property of any individu al nor the inheritance of any specific family. It is a party built on ideological, welfare-oriented, and constitutional principles, where every member has equal ownership. The leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami is elected through a consultative (Shura-based) democratic process that values the opinion of each member.Ameerul Azeem further emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami is not only working for the welfare of Pakistan but also for the entire Muslim Ummah. Its services and contributions need no introduction, as its role and sacrifices for the nation are well-recognized and evident, he said.
