Islamabad:The details of accord reached between government and JI have come to open.The agreement was signed on the range of problems including reduction in electricity tariff , tax on salaries class and reduction in prices of food items.Under the agreement tax ratio on salaries class will be curtailed to every possible extent by enhancing revenue.Electricity bills and taxes will be curtailed forthwith. Effective tax system will be evolved for imposition of tax on big landlords and land holders.Committee will be constituted for addressing the problems of traders and exporters. IPPs agreements will be completely reviewed.It was further said in the agreement task force will be established on the matter of IPPs to complete the work within one month. The payment of electricity bills for the month of August will be deferred for 15 days. The payment of capacity bills will be linked to reduction in per unit electricity.The representatives of WAPDA, chairman, Auditor General of Pakistan and FPCCI wil l be included in the committee.The points of government task force are part of the agreement.Forensic audit of K-Electric will be got conducted. The vehicles being used at government level will be limited to 1300 CC.Government will reduce the tax on food items.The talks between government and JI concluded successfully on night between Thursday and Friday.
