JI Sindh Chief Kashif Saeed Sheikh slams rise in oil prices, blames rulers of tormenting poor people


Karachi: Jammat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh Amir Kashif Saeed Sheikh has criticised the government for a sharp rise in oil prices, saying it would further escalate poverty and price hike.

In a statement issued on Monday, Kashif Saeed Sheikh said the new anti-people budget has brought a lot of new taxes, and yet the government has increased oil prices with is like adding injury to insult.

He demaded to withdraw the hike in oil prices in the larger interest of people. He said with increased oil prices the rates of every commodity would rise directly affecting the common man.

He said the government has already been charging huge taxes and levy on petroleum products. He asked the government to decrease their own royal expenses and give a relief to the poor people of the country.
