Lahore: Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Nazim-e-Ijtima-e-Aam, Liaqat Baloch, has said that Jamaat-e-Islami's Ijtema-e-Aam aims to bring change to the oppressive system imposed on the nation.Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Minar-e-Pakistan, the venue of the Ijtima-e-Aam. On this occasion, Central Vice Emir Dr. Osama Razi, Deputy Secretary General Azhar Iqbal Hasan, Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri, Sheikh Usman Farooq, Secretary Information JI Shakil Ahmed Turabi, Punjab Central Emir Javed Kasuri, Lahore Emir Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, National Labour Federation President Shamsur Rehman Swati, Zikrullah Mujahid, and the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Wing Dr. Humaira Tariq, Samiha Raheel Qazi, and other leaders were also present.Liaqat Baloch said the Constitution has been turned into a children's playground, and a self-interested group is making changes to it at will. We are talking about changing the feudal and capitalist system that contradicts the s pirit of the Constitution, he said.Chaos has spread across the country, and unrest is increasing, he said and added that the worsening situation has become a major threat to national security. People are anxious and disappointed; it has become necessary to give them hope and bring them out of despair, he said.He said that self-interested forces have taken the entire system hostage. In these circumstances, Jamaat-e-Islami's All-Pakistan Ijtima-e-Aam holds great importance, he remarked.Liaqat Baloch said that the convention to be held from 21 to 23 November at the historic grounds of Minar-e-Pakistan will create a new chapter in history and will become a symbol of strong struggle for the coming stages. Preparations for the Ijtima-e-Aam are underway throughout the country. Youth, students, teachers, lawyers, farmers, laborers, and women from across Pakistan, including Balochistan and KP, will participate in large numbers. This convention will be based on the call to faith and will address the needs of the present era, he said.The three-day Ijtima-e-Aam will begin on 21 November after Friday prayer. The Friday prayer will be held at the historic Badshahi Mosque. Various programs will be held on different topics through which experts will guide the nation and propose practical steps to change the oppressive system.
