And when facts beget truth, they become inconvenient as well.' He said, 'This delegation must realize that prevarications will not change the facts on ground, especially those established by the UN Security Council. The fact is that Jammu and Kashmir never was and never will be the so-called integral part of India.''The fact is that India is an illegal occupier of the disputed territory. Time and again, this delegation resorts to the same tactics of deflecting global attention away from its violations and abuses committed in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (HOJ and K),' he remarked.'While the reality remains that the Indian Occupation Forces are unabashedly resorting to massive human rights violations with impunity. Time and again, seve ral UN mandate-holders have raised alarm on the state of human rights in the lOJ and K,' he remarked. He maintained, 'Many experts have raised specific objections to the draconian laws being applied in the Indian illegally occupied territory giving the Occupying forces powers that are not only inconsistent with international human rights law but are an anathema to it.'He said, 'The continued denial of the Kashmiris' right to self-determination is a long-standing violation of the UN Charter, UNSC resolutions and international law. Every human right of the occupied Kashmiris has been violated, during the seven decades-long inglorious history of this illegal occupation.'Danyal Hasnain concluded, 'If India wants to contest these facts, the first stage should be to provide access to the OHCHR, international media, and independent observers to the occupied territory and allow them to determine facts on the ground.'
