Scunthorpe: A delegation from the Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), led by Founding Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain (Sitara-i-Pakistan), held a significant meeting with the British Minister of Justice, Sir Nicholas Dakin MP, at his constituency office in Scunthorpe.
The delegation included Sardar Abdur Rahman Khan (Patron JKSDMI), Raja Shaukat Khaliq Advocate (Former Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Harry Boota (Administration Director JKSDMI), and Sardar Abid Hussain.
During the meeting, the JKSDMI team briefed the Minister on the ongoing human rights violations and political developments in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). They also discussed the importance of 5th August, observed as Yom-e-Istehsal by British Kashmiris and their supporters, marking the day in 2019 when India unilaterally revoked Article 370.
Raja Najabat Hussain expressed gratitude to Sir Nicholas Dakin for his continued support of the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination. In response, the Minister assured the delegation that he would raise the issue with fellow Government Ministers and explore the possibility of arranging further discussions at a higher level.
The JKSDMI team presented a commemorative shield to Sir Nicholas Dakin and extended an invitation for him to participate in future JKSDMI events, both at the House of Commons and within local communities.
