Bolton: The Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), led by Founding Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain Sitara-e-Pakistan, convened a special meeting with Barrister Yasmin Qureshi MP, Chairperson of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pakistan in Bolton. The event was organised in collaboration with Muhammad Shehzad Khan, President of the Youth Council Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Former Mayor of Bolton Councillor Akhtar Zaman, JKSDMI Patron Sallar Mumtaz Ahmed Chishty, Chairman Youth Wing JKSDMI Zeshan Araf, Professor Dr Tamoor Shafiq, Secretary General of the International Lobby on Kashmir, Nina Rania Khan, Chairperson JKSDMI Cheshire, and Mohammad Nadeem Butt.

Discussions focused on mobilising British-Pakistani and Kashmiri youth and women, both in the UK and in Pakistan and Kashmir, in support of the Kashmir cause and Istehkam-e-Pakistan. Plans for JKSDMI's future activities in September and October were finalised, with the backing of the APPG on Pakistan and Kashmir.

Barrister Yasmin Qureshi MP reaffirmed her commitment to the Kashmir cause, pledging to continue raising the plight of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the British Parliament and within the Labour Party, including during the upcoming Labour Party Annual Conference in Liverpool.

Muhammad Shehzad Khan briefed the MP on the work of his organisation and expressed his gratitude for her dedication and collaboration with JKSDMI under the leadership of Raja Najabat Hussain.

Councillor Akhtar Zaman and Professor Dr. Tamoor Shafiq assured the Youth Council President of their support in arranging meetings with their respective universities to foster cooperation and coordination with Pakistani youth and academic institutions.

In closing, Raja Najabat Hussain thanked all participants for their involvement and formally announced JKSDMI's forthcoming programmes for August and September, inviting everyone present to actively attend and participate.
