JKSDMI team marks Youm-e-Istehsal at Pakistan Consulate in Manchester

Manchester: The Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) marked Youm-e-Istehsal with a solemn event held at the Pakistan Consulate in Manchester. The gathering commemorated the sixth anniversary of India's controversial revocation of Article 370 and reaffirmed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The event was led by JKSDMI Founding Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain, Sitara-e-Pakistan, alongside former Lord Mayor of Manchester and Chairperson of the International Lobby on Kashmir, Councillor Yasmine Dar. Also in attendance were key members of the JKSDMI leadership, including Secretary General Mohammad Azam, UK General Secretary Raja Javed Tariq, Chairperson Greater Manchester Rubina Khan, Chairperson Cheshire Nina Rania Khan, General Secretary Greater Manchester Farzana Afzal, and Youth Wing Chairman Zeshan Araf.

Members of the JKSDMI Executive Committee-Sabira Naheed Chaudhary, Dr. Mehwish Jabeen, Momena Latif, Abdul Qadir Sarfraz-were joined by special guest Muhammad Shehzad Khan, President of Youth Council Pakistan, who travelled from Pakistan for the occasion.

The delegation was welcomed by Pakistan Consulate officials Awais Hussain and Misbah Noreen. Local councillors Rabnawaz Akbar and Shahbaz Sarwar also attended the ceremony and addressed the participants. Speakers paid tribute to the martyrs and freedom fighters of Kashmir, reaffirming their commitment to the cause of self-determination.

In recognition of their support and cooperation, JKSDMI presented commemorative shields to Consulate officials Awais Hussain and Misbah Noreen.

In their addresses, Raja Najabat Hussain and Councillor Yasmine Dar strongly condemned the Indian Government's actions of 5 August 2019, labelling them as illegal and in violation of international law. They reiterated JKSDMI's ongoing commitment to advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people on diplomatic platforms across the UK, Europe, and globally.

Participants pledged continued support for the Kashmiri people's struggle for justice, peace, and the right to self-determination. JKSDMI leaders also expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Consulate in Manchester for organising and hosting the event.
