Islamabad: Joint meeting of the Standing Committees on Law and Justice of the National Assembly and the Senate was held in Islamabad on Saturday to consider the Constitution (Twenty-Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2025.

The meeting was chaired jointly by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice of the Senate, Farooq Hamid Naek, at Parliament House.

The meeting decided that an extensive and clause-by-clause deliberation and review of the Bill will be undertaken to ensure thorough examination of all its provisions.

The meeting decided to continue deliberations in the next sitting scheduled for today (Sunday) morning to further consider the Bill.
