Judicial Commission confirms six Additional PHC judges; extends term of four judges for six months

Islamabad: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (Peshawar High Court) met on Wednesday on Wednesday approved confirmation of six additional PHC judges and extended term of four PHC judges for six months.

The JCP met at the Conference Room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for making recommendations for confirmation of Additional Judges as Judges of the Peshawar High Court. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Khan Afridi, being the Chairperson.

The Commission recommended, by majority of its total membership, the confirmation of the following Additional Judges as Judges of the Peshawar High Court, after due consideration of the relevant Data Form, Antecedents and evaluation of material placed before it.

The confirmed judges include Justice Muhammad Tariq Afridi, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Abdul Fayaz, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Salah ud Din, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Sadiq Ali, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Syed Mudasser Ameer, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court and Justice Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court.

Similarly, The Commission, by majority of its total membership, recommended extension of term of the following Additional Judges of the Peshawar High Court for six months include Justice Ms. Farah Jamshed, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Inam Ullah Khan, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court, Justice Sabit Ullah Khan, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court and Justice Aurangzeb, Additional Judge, Peshawar High Court.
