Islamabad: PTI leader Junaid Akbar has resigned from chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

According to sources Junaid Akbar has sent his resignation to PTI chairman Gohar Ali Khan. However no formal statement has come from PTI with reference to causes of resignation.

The sources however have said this step has been taken under internal decisions of party and organizational strategy.

Junaid Akbar during his stay as chairman PAC took action in regard to audit reports of several government departments and projects and highlighted several corruption cases.

Junaid Akbar said the office was trust of party and he has quit this office under the directive PTI founder.

It is pertinent to mention here PTI founder had directed Junaid Akbar to resign from chairmanship PAC.
