Islamabad: Justice Ayesha Malik of Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has recused from hearing the case related to constitutional status of section 221-A of customs act.
The bench stands dissolved.
The appeal pleas regarding constitutional status of section 221-A of Customs Act came up for hearing before SC constitutional bench.
8-member SC constitutional bench under justice Amin ud Din Khan heard the pleas Monday.
During hearing of the case Justice Ayesha Malik recused her from hearing the case.
Attorney General (AG) said the case be adjourned for one week.
Counsel barrister Salah ud Din said there is too much dispute in this matter. One order has too come in regard to powers. Diwan motors case be heard soon.
Justice Amin ud Din Khan remarked all right we hear this case tomorrow.
Justice Ayesha Malik remarked " I will give separate reasons for recusing myself from hearing the case.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar remarked " ok , give your reasons.
