Justice Babar’s family’s data leak IHC registrar writes letter to X to provide relevant information

ISLAMABAD: A big headway has been made incontempt of court case involving alleged leakage of personal details of the family members of IHC Justice Babar Sattar and alleged social media defamation campaign against him.Registrar high court has written an important letter to chief legal officer social media website X through ministry of foreign affairs whereby request has been made to provide relevant information to Pakistan investigation agencies.The court wants to know who leaked personal data of Justice Babar Sattar and his family. For which high court has taken big step.The letter was written to Chief legal officer of X under the directives of larger bench of IHC.High Court registrar wrote letter through foreign ministry Pakistan and embassy in US.According to judicial sources X has been requested through the letter to provide the respective information to Pakistan investigation agencies saying if X wants to send its representative before high court it can send. If X sends its representative then it will be appreciable act.According to court's sources personal data of high court judge Justice Babar Sattar and his family was leaked on X. Cooperation be extended in identifying the account which leaked data.It has been said in the letter if the campaign was organized then X should cooperate with reference to links.The reference to providing assistance to UK and Indian governments earlier by X is part of this letter.The court sources said foreign ministry and Pakistan embassy in US should get serve the letter and file report thereof.The details of accounts identified by Pakistan investigation agencies are attached with the letter.
