Islamabad: Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan has expressed resentment over cancellation of cause list of contempt of court case in Islamabad High Court (IHC) remarking the miscellaneous petition for transferring the case was filed under what law.

He further remarked does the state support transferring the case to larger bench without the willingness of judge. Before doing this my court should have been exploded by placing ammunition in its foundations.

We don't settle basic questions. We stand on the same point in connection with basic principles after every ten years. There is no big folly than this that economy develops without writ of law. This is not my personal issue or issue of my powers and instead it is matter of dignity of the court. Will the confidence of the people on justice system remain this way.

He gave these remarks during hearing of contempt of court petition filed by Mashal Yousafzai against superintendent Adiala jail here Wednesday .

Deputy Registrar Judicial IHC Sultan Mehmood appeared on being summoned by the court on the matter of cancelling cause list of contempt of court case.

Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan inquired from state counsel is he involved in what has happened . You cancelled cause list at whose behest.

Deputy Registrar judicial told the court directives had come to us from chief justice office. It was said from chief justice office that larger bench has been constituted. Cause list of this case be cancelled now.

The petitioner Mashal Yousufzai said when this is happening with us outside then they will be doing what with Imran Khan and Bush ra Bibi in jail.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till today (Thursday).
