Srinagar: On the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) paid tribute to the Founder of Pakistan, highlighting his unwavering commitment to the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from India's illegal occupation.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said Quaid-e-Azam was a visionary leader who struggled for a separate homeland, achieving Pakistan in 1947 under his dynamic leadership. He emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir were integral to the Quaid's movement and that Pakistan would remain incomplete without Kashmir, which the Quaid referred to as the 'jugular vein' of the country.

The APHC statement further described Kashmir as the economic backbone of Pakistan and reiterated that its accession is the rightful destiny of the Kashmiri people, who continue to make sacrifices for this just cause.

Minhas also noted that the revocation of Articles 370 and 35A by the Modi-led Indian government in August 2019 under the Hindutva agenda reaffirmed the relevance of Quaid-e-Azam's vision, as the Kashmiri struggle for freedom aligns with the principles of the Two-Nation Theory.
