Rawalakot: Amid escalating Indian hostilities along the Line of Control (LoC), senior Pakistan Muslim League (N) - Azad Jammu and Kashmir leader Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wasi visited wounded military personnel and civilians at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalakot, extending heartfelt solidarity and praise for their sacrifice.
Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wasi hailed the extraordinary bravery of the injured, emphasizing that their steadfastness in the face of aggression reflects the indomitable spirit of the nation. 'These heroes-both in uniform and among civilians-have made personal sacrifices that strengthen our national resolve. The country stands united in honoring their courage,' he said.
He commended the operational success of the Pakistan Armed Forces under the command of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. He also paid tribute to the Pakistan Air Force for its exemplary role in safeguarding the skies and responding with precision and professionalism. 'The coordination and readiness demonstrated by our armed forces-including the Pakistan Air Force-have sent a clear message: our territorial integrity is inviolable,' Wasi added.
Earlier in the day, a large public rally was organized in Jandathi Farooqabad, Paniola, where citizens from across the region gathered in a powerful show of support for the armed forces. Led by Sardar Abdul Khaliq Wasi, the marchers carried national flags and banners expressing gratitude for the military's defense of the homeland. Participants offered solemn tributes to the martyrs and lauded the valor of the serving troops.
In his address, Wasi expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and especially COAS General Syed Asim Munir for their leadership and unwavering support for the Kashmiri cause. He also acknowledged the guidance of PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in steering a principled approach to national defense and regional stability.
'The unwavering commitment of our armed forces, including the Pakistan Air Force, has reaffirmed to the people of Kashmir that they are not alone in this struggle. Our defenders are our pride,' said Wasi.
Speakers at the event also urged the international community to uphold United Nations Security Council resolutions and ensure a just and peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute. They emphasized that the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination must be honored without further delay.
The rally underscored a united national front-civilians and military alike-standing together to safeguard Pakistan's sovereignty and counter any threat with unwavering resolve.
