Islamabad: State minister for interior Senator Talal Chaudhry has said KP amended police act will be challenged in Supreme Court(SC). " provinces cannot make their army and police, he said this while addressing a press conference here Thursday.

He held act has yet been approved by cabinet. It is better provincial government should act sensibly. Federation has several options on amended police act. This police act will be challenged in SC.

He held KP government has not only withdrawn the powers of IG but it has devastated the entire command. Political interference in proposed police act is clearly visible. CM Sohail Afridi has tried to put the powers in his pocket and to make them subservient to his political party.

He said as per law and constitution no change can be made in Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). Command structure of police cannot be destroyed.

Criticizing the propose act, Talal Chaudhry said in his press conference such legislation is violation of constitution and PSP rules. According to him you have not only withdrawn the powers of IG but also have ruined the entire command structure.
