KP assembly holds session in stadium, ANP boycotts

Peshawar: KP Assembly session has been held in Imran Khan stadium amid the reports that ANP has boycotted the session. The assembly has adopted the resolution for early hearing of the cases against PTI founder Imran Khan. ANP has strongly criticized the government for holding Assembly session in stadium.

ANP provincial president Mian Iftikhar said KP government is enacting a new drama every day. The problems facing the people are still there and the law and order situation in the province is alarming.

ANP will not become part of this drama and fully boycott the session. The resolution seeking immediate hearing of cases of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi was presented in the assembly session held in stadium which was approved.

The house approved the resolutions on Afghanistan situation and against restrictions on meeting with PTI founder and inflation. The assembly met under speaker Babar Swati. The resolution for immediate hearing of cases against PTI founder and his wife was adopted with majority vote. PPP members of assembly opposed the resolution.

A resolution against non provision of medical facilities to Imran Khan and his wife was also approved with majority vote. The resolution was presented by ruling party MPA Iftikhar Ullah Jan. Ruling party MPA Tufail Anjum presented the resolution on Afghanistan situation.

The resolution said talks be held with Afghanistan to remove the misperceptions. The trade between the two countries be restored as soon as possible. The resolution said it is demanded of Afghanistan to take action against the persons who are involved in terrorism in Pakistan. Ruling party MPA Dr Amjid presented the resolution against the inflation. The resolution was adopted with majority vote.
