KP govt decides to outsource government schools in the province

Peshawar: KP government has decided for outsourcing state run schools in the province in phases.This move is aimed at improving standard of education and making remarkable curtailment in per student expenses.As per documents expenses amounting to Rs 3517 per student are being incurred in government schools. These expenses will stand reduced to Rs 1667 per student following outsourcing.It has been proposed to allocate special budget of Rs 3 lac per month for every school.Education department has completed the process of identification of schools and students showing poor performance. Performance of 40 percent students in 4147 schools in the province was found poor.Outsourcing project will be completed in three phases. 500 schools will be outsourced in first phase, 1000 schools in second phase and 2000 schools will be outsourced in the third phase.
