Peshawar:Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has said PTI government in KP was repeatedly requested to become part of war against terrorism but our plea was not accepted.

He said this while addressing apex committee meeting here Monday.

Too much ups and down was witnessed during the last two and half year, however federation and KP government are on the one page now , he added.

He remarked if provincial government leads then we will be able to win war on terror in the province. Federal government will discharge its every responsibility for peace in KP.

He said every possible facility will be provided to police and other law enforcement agencies. Providing modern arms required by KP police is essential. Federation stands with you. Soon results will be before you.

Addressing the meeting governor KP said we can sacrifice development but not security. Our steps against terrorism will become visible clearly.

Federation has reposed trust on us, he held. We will work day in day out. The capability of the law enforcement agencies will be enhanced.

It is pertinent to mention here an important meeting of apex committee was held under interior minister and KP governor. IG KP, military authorities and CTD officials attended the meeting.

Security plan was reviewed afresh in the meeting. Strategy to deal with the terrorists was also evolved.
