Peshawar: KP government through a written letter has asked Punjab government for lifting ban on supply of wheat and flour from Punjab to KP .According to food department a formal letter has been written to Punjab government under the directives of Chief Minister (CM) KP Muhammad Sohail Afridi whereby KP government has requested Punjab government to lift ban on supply of wheat and atta from Punjab to KP.According to letter KP is most affected province due to suspension of inter-provincial supply. The supply of atta is being affected due to hindrances from Punjab.Under article 151(1) free movement of goods between provinces is federal guarantee .The process of suspension of supply of wheat by Punjab government runs contrary to the principles of harmony among federal units.The KP government through the letter has asked Punjab government to lift all restrictions for the sake of free movement of wheat and atta from Punjab.
